It happened to me in January when I was inactive on Medium for several years.

In the first year, which was 2020, I received money fine, but then since I was not active on Medium, my Stripe account was deactivated and I couldn't retrieve it after 4 years had passed.

I decided to give up on my old Medium account and Stripe, but yes, I made a new one this year, and so far, it's been good.

In the UK, they just ask for our ID (which I used my passport) and proof of address with my bank statement there, showing where I lived in the UK.

I just hope Medium can also provide several options to make it easier for us. Somehow, I see some people really having a lot of problems with their Stripe account.
